Related work on ETDs

I have been fortunate to be a member of the NDLTD Community for quite some time, since first meeting EdwardFox in 1997 at a FIPSE Project Leaders conference.

I'm excited about ETDs because I love that ETDs bring an audience for graduate-student scholarship and because I'm curious to see how new media scholarship will evolve. Watching the NDLTD_Community evolve over the years has been rewarding. Plus, I'm curious about how tools can be used to faciliate creativity and future research.

Along the way, I've met many fine people, people who are committeed to setting standards, archiving, and building the infrastructure we need for a world-wide digital library of theses and dissertations. (I encourage you to become a member of the NDLTD Community-even if your university is lagging behind--because because the NDLTD_Community is one of the healthiest academic communities I have ever had the priviledge to work with...)

In 1999, I had a great time hosting our annual conference and it was also interesting to try to work with over forty scholars worldwide to put together the ETDGuide. Currently I serve on the , and I have also written some essays on ETDs (see below).
